  • how stable is that mount?

  • I would buy the good mount for this riffle. This mount does not stay 0 it take a while to 0. The first week it work the week after it would not stay 0.

  • you can pull the spring out just as easy as pulling the sight, use a punch it pops right out that way you dont have to compress the new rail taking a chance damaging your threads.

  • Thanks for telling me that. I did not know that, I am going to try that.

  • This scope mount is junk. It will become lose as soon as you fire the gun.

  • WIGGLE IT AND IT PULLS STRAIGHT OUT.

  • This is a "slim" video. =p

  • This video went viral on eKinshasa

  • @lvlxx Thanks for the information. I just it just applies to the 91/30 at least for now. Bummer.

  • @happydelicious no the sight bases on the m38/44 are welded to the barrels. Threes one pin but removing it does nothing.

  • @lvlxx Are you saying it is just square or a block or something? I thought the 38 and 44's where just shortened 91/30's. The video isn't too clear but from the looks of it it 'seems' almost identical to my 91/30.

  • @happydelicious m44's m38's do not have dovetail rails under the sight base. Sorry.

  • I have a M44 and from what I've read the sights were set up to fire with the bayonet fully extended. My M44 is very accurate using iron sights and the bayonet extended. It does make a difference.

  • @ravedomino What is the "good mount?"

  • Why don't you just knock out the rear sight completely? What you'll find is that you can use dovetail rings. Mount a nice cheap 4-8x scope on it with high dovetails. Your good to go. You can have an excellent sniper/hunting rifle for about $150. Mosin 80 bucks on sale, 25 background, tax 10, and quality cheap scope from Amazon will bring it to $150 for a weapon system that can compete with any 30-06. Not to mention the Ammo is almost as cheap as 9mm. Can't beat it!

  • this scope mount is a HUGE pain to install, and mine broke on the first go to the range. I'm sticking with irons.
