it does work . but make each spawning pad 2 high, so that endermen can't spawn, they will take the blocks and break it

Im getting this problem where i did it exactly the same way you did but theres only one spawning floor (reason being is i did it in survival) but the problem is that they are not spawning at all no matter how far away and how long i leave it for.. someone plz help?

how do u make the mobs spawn exactly in the water/lava?

i just have to say i just made this tower on my new server in 1.0.0 and it works better than any other spawner i have ever made i tested it it gives me 68 items per minute then times 60 it gives me 4,080 items per hour

this is fake, mobs cant spawn within 24 blocks of you

lol, it is not fake, this is real. and im aware mobs can spawn within 24 blocks of you, but i don't 100% believe that. i have built this trap over 20 times and i have mobs spawn on the first spawn floor all the time.
