Nice pit! But cheaper building one out of 250 gallon propane tank! Its how the real smokers do it! That's the rich mans smokers but making it your own self its just as nice if not better.

I have an identical rig. Lang 84 deluxe. I even have a Dodg Ram that I use to pull it and my truck has that same scuff mark on the fron passenger side. My brother! Im just starting out doing catering. way up here in Maine. Im pretty far removed from you so I dont think we need to worry about compition. Any advice for a new caterer? Im trying to keep it simple and make the best food I can and still turn a buck. Oh yeah, and having a ton of fun!

@peteyort best advice - do larger groups = 100+. less - you aren't making enough to make good enough money. We do smaller groups and enjoy it, but the larger groups are better.

@peteyort having fun is the key. also a passion for making your Q perfect. I started doing some fund raisers for free and that got the word out.

this is an 84 Deluxe. My new one is a 108 Deluxe with a 5' chargriller. It is crazy too heavy. Langs are made well and we love to smoke.
