Oklahoma 100 Years

This is Oklahoma's Centennial celebrating statehood. As a native Oklahoman, I am proud of what my state has accomplished in 100 years. This is my tribute to Oklahoma and the people who have made her great.

I came back on here an read all post,Butterfly,Oklahoma had nothing do with the Trail of Tears except to accept the Native Indians here your bitter at the wrong people-Okies. Have you visted Tahlequah and what the Cherokees have accomplished there. I doubt it. As for Peterson being a Texan, his father had a scholarship to play basketball at OU many yrs earlier so he's more Okie than Texan in fact I'd say Father and Son rejected Texas as many Texas athletes do.

Yeah, Oklahoma may not be great, but most people don't claim that here. Unlike Texas, we're not so proud to assume we got it all figured out. We've got ice storms and frigid wind in the winter, and deadly heat and tornadoes in the summer. It's not pretty, it's gritty, and it's not rich at all, and we've got a whole load of problems, but I'm proud of what it is, and I'm glad I grew up an Okie, not some pampered brat from somewhere else who thinks my s*** don't stink.
