  • That soloist is INCREDIBLE. I love this piece--we played it when I was in high school (in 1996). Does my heart good to hear it again, and such a great performance!

  • this soloist is beautiful. just wish the backround was a little cleaner :/

  • @nataliabiet I agree, this alto arrangement of Samantha is head-and-shoulders above the tenor arrangement. And with such an incredible alto player playing it, it sounds like heaven.

  • wow his sound is perfect, I've been playing sax for six years and still haven't figured out how to sound like, that that is really good, good job bro.

  • beautiful. simply beautiful

  • Im playing this now, but with the tenor sax version. Seeing as im an alto sax player i wish this were the version we were playing. So beautiful!

  • Where is this young man now? He plays one of the best versions out there. Too many sax players want to mimick the late great Bud Shanks. In high school my friend played this in 1986 and did a good job. I will be playing this in my band soon and I only hope to play it half as good as my friend and this young man in the video. Seriously I hope this kid is still playing...in college?

  • GREAT sax player mediocre band =/

  • i love this. but we played it on a tenor sax......

  • @dontevenstartme clearly you are a jackass. there are ways to correct people without being mean. but i'm going to be mean now anyway. people make mistakes in music all the time - if you ever want to have a job that involves people at all you can't act like that.

  • amazing sax player! my schools jazz band played this my freshman year ('09-'10) and the band (including our sax players) sounded really good..but this sax player amazes me. he's one of the best i've ever heard!
