Listening in on Channel 19

Radio is a Cobra 29 BT with NW AND WX functions. I think I was picking these guys up from the highway near my house. It must of been backed up. I was really surprised to pick them up so clear from being in my garage with the door shut.

how did you make your antenna mount man any help would be great

@bigislife Went to Lowes.. got some metal, cut two pieces of metal to good lengths. Trimmed the metal and used a grinder on the corners of it, then bent it to 90 degrees, bolted it together, the bolted it on the Jeep lol. Oh and I drilled a hole for the antenna..

@paracordjunky You can talk back to people, or listen. Just strike up a conversation with somebody if anyone else is listening they might jump in.

When I first started, no one would talk to me for very long about anything, and most of the time, I didn't have anything to say about what they were talking about. But, after a while, people will recognize your call sign, ex. "RedRock" and start talking with ya. Just have fun with it.

I just got this installed in my truck what is the situation with talking on cb radios can you just listen in or can you actually talk back to people or do you get told to get off the air? I am a newby to the cb world.

@MoreLikeCappuccino I'm really not sure. Shortly after this video I moved mine down and now I have it mounted by my shift lever and it's bolted into the metal around the transmission. I was worried about someone trying to steal it with it on my dash.
