Here is the YouTube I found from almost 50 years earlier -- same park with his son Jay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSb-JgMIeuA
http://www.tompkinssq.com/ This is the record label and it is named for the Park where I filmed Giuseppie Logan, ran home and posted his haunting performance and than I discovered a YouTube of he and his son in the very same park from the early 1960's.

I can't express the exhaustion I feel. I know GL appreciates me but I also know he doesn't get how much work it takes to help out and also film...I am not attempting to make a professional film but a street one using my IPhone to tell his story...a YouTube documentary.
one line reviews from Tompkins Square Park record label blog
"A fantastic return to form for Giuseppi Logan -- a contemporary record, but one that grabs us with just as much force as his famous 60s album for ESP!" - Dustygroove.com
"An astonishing comeback record" - All Music Guide (4 stars)
Legendary saxophonist Giuseppi Logan will release his first album in 45 years on NYC's Tompkins Square label, February 23, 2009.
Logan recorded two albums for the ESP label in the mid-60's featuring Eddie Gomez, Don Pullen and Milford Graves, The Giuseppi Logan Quartet and More.
The Giuseppi Logan Quintet, recorded in September 2009, reunites Logan with two of his closest collaborators from the '60's, pianist Dave Burrell and drummer Warren Smith. Also joining him on the session are Francois Grillot, bass and Matt Lavelle, trumpet and bass clarinet. The album features five brand new Logan compositions, and several standards.
Logan will maintain his rigorous schedule of appearances around the New York City area with his group, as well as his steady solo gig in the NW corner of Tompkins Square Park.

thats a cute old man..
hehe..
old people....you can learn so much from them if you have a little bit of patience, and give them some time to speak their minds, and tell you of the lives they have lived, it can be a great learning experience.

Giuseppi Logan is amazing. When I met him he was homeless and he needed a place to live, play music and compose music. He is doing all of the above and just cut his first CD since his two successful records in the 1960's!!!!
