He has none. I can't believe you are putting an outsider with no experience in charge of our nation's spooks, Obama. Horrible decision. I used to work in intel for 2 different government agencies and there is no way you can begin to understand the intricacies of the intelligence structure, nonetheless MANAGE IT, without prior experience of SOME sort. Even the lowest ranking Soldier in the Military is exposed to intelligence breifings, and that is all the experience Panetta has. Unbelievable.

Panetta is great, but should be Commerce Secretary. I do not know of his intelligence collecting experience.

Well, we've seen what people with so-called "intelligence experience" are worth - Cheney, Wolfowitz, etc. I'm by no means an Obama purist. I think he's way too chummy with the rightwing scum who've spent the past decade dismatling the Constitution, but in this instance (particularly in light of Bush enablers Rpckefeller & Feinstein having objections), he's clearly made a wise choice. A much wiser choice than using the "intelligence experienced" clowns who've paid no price whatsoever for 9.11.
