@30Silas -Jesse's rendition was great! However, an issue he has always had as an artist was the inability to know when to infuse gospel and r&b. (hence his struggles to find an audience) Keep in mind, I like this version, but it may not be for everyone. Whitney's was more classical, thereby having a mass appeal. Even Marvin Gaye's soulful version was excellent, but then again, not for everyone. Jesse came a tad bit strong at the end. Still tho', way better than Kim Stratton the night Obama won.

Everyone has their own opinion and mines is : Jesse Campbell can beat Whitney singing. I feel she is GREATLY OVERRATED. she has released some great music and does have a great singing voice but she doesn't do anything others really can't do. And for the record, her version is my favorite performance because of the orchestral instruments.
