  • It's a horizontalator... Or a transporter... Or an obscene waste of money when they could have just put a covered walkway there.

One of those horizontal moving walkways (like and escalator) is much more practical, isn't it?

  • It is now a covered walkway!

My point in the fact it was built by Otis, there was no other horizontal tram ever made by them.

  • Now you see how much flack you get for calling it an elevator instead of an "Otis horizontal product"?

Heh heh... Just pulling your chain. Elevators is what Otis is famous for, so I probably would've titled it the same as you did.

  • I only put the title there for people that are fans of Otis... Otherwise they might miss this RARE machine.

  • Is this an Elevator or a small box train?

  • It's an actual elevator put on it's side. The car is tram like.

  • @DMNB250 It *WAS* in Medford, MA at Wellington station

  • Suomessa tuo tunnetaan nimellä "juna"

  • @kj762aa The "elevator" isn't there anymore though, there was too many problems so they built a regular walkway over it.

  • I was looking on Google maps and it looks like this was only there for maybe 5-10 years. What was the point of doing that. Why'd they remove it???

  • @DMNB250 boston - you can tell by the trains.

  • Very good nice elevatory. . .of course OTİS. . .

  • Hate all you want. But I had to walk the covered walkway the other day... I sure wish the trams were still there. It's a hell of a long tunnel to walk.

  • en colombia hay asecensores diagonales le llaman telesfericos producidos por ascensores andino

  • OMG! that's Boston Massachusetts! I'd recognize those hawker siddeleys anywhere!
