  • I miss Bill.

  • Look at the results of Florida in earlier elections. You will notics that republicans are stronger in this state than in the national average. So the Bush victory is not a big surprise. And look at the Palm Beach county. Gore earned 63 percent there in 2000, even Obama earned less than that two years ago. Sorry Dems, you lost it correctly.

  • @olehomer88 we didnt lose. The problem was that 2 things: it was never a statewide recount. and 2, democrats won the popular vote with 500,000 more peolple. If we didnt have the electoral college, wich is run by the "white man", things would have been better off.

  • @bistrosidecar Presidents are elected by the States - they are the President of the United STATES. The state legislatures gave their own citizens the right to choose how their states electors will vote. It is not one national election but 50 separate state elections...combining the votes together is meaningless. In addition, two cases got to the Supreme Court in both cases, the cases had been heard by 3 courts - and in each case, 2 out of 3 courts agreed - Supremes upheld trial court ruling

  • @ChazzyJoe That is not correct. There was a huge push for GSE regulations - Fannie and Freddie - and the Democrats fought it every step of the way. You can easily find videos of the news stories and clips from the Congressional hearings - look at those and you will see which side was against confronting the problem.

  • @KillerQueen000 Looks like he/she was also responding to "one liners" - Okay...let's say for the sake of argument he / she was "ignorant". What is your excuse for being so nasty? They said nothing demeaning or personally insulting to the person they were responding to, yet you come here and call them "trash" and other insults for merely saying something you disagree with.

  • @Gowalum Bush is only a 7 if you are the age of 7

  • @TheGeekyNinjaStudios Yeah Gore should have won his home state no question, but it didn't matter who won NM anyways. If Gore had won Florida (which he would have if ALL votes were counted) Bush could have won New Mexico or demanded a recount it wouldn't matter. Florida was worth 19 more Electoral votes, and Bush needed Florida to win, if there had been no Florida, Gore would have won.

  • @TheGeekyNinjaStudios Yes Gore did run a terrible campaign, I voted for Nader! Yes of course winning mattered duh, there is no reason to recount NM therefore, Florida was the state in question and a much closer percentage then in NM. Why would they demand a recount of a state they were winning? LOL. Bush won all the recounts, cause they ignored recounting the 2 counties in question with 10-12 thousand votes. The election was decided by the Supreme Court 5-4, not the people!

  • @neely7878 Wait, so it's ok for the a state to be in the margin of error if you're ahead in it? Sounds like the left really appreciates democracy. That is the point of the courts, and if Gore had one his home state, he would have won.

  • @neely7878 Then why didn't the Democrats request a recount in NM in the same election when they were only 700 votes ahead statewide? Because they wanted to win no matter what. Face it: Gore ran a terrible campaign and Bush never lost a recount.
