I bought half life complete for $20 on steam and when this happened i noticed that not only did she say "Gordon" before being trampled, but after she was trampled she says (ever so perfectly) "Help" twice i think.

@carlosz013 Living organisms are just very very complex machines. Hunters are very very complex machines.
Most of the "races" within the Combine are implied to be previously conquered species that the Combine has engineered to fit various roles that would benefit the Combine. Hunters were likely a conquered species that the Combine re-engineered into a mobile weapons platform.

The first time I played through this I was twitchier than a coke addict and every time I glimpsed a hunter I was like HOLY BALLS SOMETHING IS HERE AHHH. I just wanted to get outta there, and when Alyx got stabbified, I raged so hard. I wanted to fuck that Hunter right up.
