Hit a M-1 with a pure ass-shot and a couple of things are going to happen.

1. You are going to kill the power pack and the crew is probably going to get out.

2. You are going to hit the rear of the turret and the ammo goes up, and because the ammo is stored outside the crew compartment, the crew is probably going to get out.

Hit a T-72, or T-90 for that matter, with an ass-shot and you've lost the vehicle and the crew.

There is toast, and then there is toast.

@SAVSAV1212 Not just that, yo have to include a pathetic state and maintenance of those T-72's, their lack of equipment, quality ammo and many other issues, alongside lame morale! Also I see they fail to remind of heavy air support, and that a lot of those were obliterated by A-10's! These T-72's didn't even have ERA...which was already a standard equipment...that says a lot! plus everything that Russia sells (weapons wise) is always at least 20-30% weaker than what they use!

Is it just me or is the T72 the John Holmes of battle tanks? I mean that gun seems disproportionately long. Were the designers simply making up for other inadequacies? Thumbs up if you agree.

@babylon19852003 so what's your point? Are you justifying their ineffectiveness? They, like Hitler and other dictators had their asses handed to them in a just and necessary war. Patton would have been proud of H. Norman S. and his soldiers, sailors and airmen.

It is really fascinating me how they make shit up like they showing the Iraqi army have the real power but in the reality is the opposite of that :

1-They never had the air cover.

2-their equipment are made in 1970s.

3-and let us not forget the most important factor the Iraqi army never believed in this war or in any other war before.

@Waltham now a days some M1 are equiped with projectile defense system that blow up the rpg or whatever may be the case b4 it even hits the tank and even then ull have to penetrate it armor but yeah air support is ftw
