My wife, Belinda, videotaped me in in this take while I was recording various ideas for this song and preserving them for future reference. In her opinion, this is the best performance of this great Kris Kristofferson song that I have ever attempted. Yes, I am a Kris Kristofferson fanatic.

This take was actually recorded on a Sunday Morning, in Bainbridge, Georgia, USA, in 2007. Belinda is actually responsible for posting this take on YouTube, otherwise this would have been a routine and unremarkable event in my musical world. I am so glad she did this for me.

Excellent playing, man. But the singing is too clean and happy, it's like you have no hangover : ) You only took one drink on a saturday night and went home at 22.00. Woke up in the morning feelin great, the sun is shining. But don't get me wrong, you are a great palyer & singer.

Thank you Marc for the talented picker compliment. Actually, The Beatles could be blamed for that, but I am a Kris K. fan too.  I've got you subscribed as well.

Nothing special about the guitar, an Epiphone PR100 that I picked up at a pawn shop for $100. I installed electric facilities with a bridge pickup and now it is my main acoustic studio axe. Dean Markley regular guage strings.
