  • Great vidi ...... great to see the US got the 2CV ..... idea for the country ...... long range capable & good at 55 miles an hour & i'm sure if there was not such love for V8 it could have done real well.

    Hi,

    Thanks a lot!

This one is an early one with the rippled hood. The client did not bring the engine but it is probably a 425cc. You can do 55 miles/hr going down a slop with the wind blowing on the back :oD

  • Hey!, digging on my account I found this video that I coment like a year ago. I still have my AK, I haven't start the restoration yet. How like did it take you to restore yours?. Where are you from? Do you have access to refations parts there?

    Thanks

    Greetings

    Hi,

So sorry for my late response.

I was hired to do just the rust, fabrication, welding etc... I don't recall exactly but it me a long time. It was a lot of rust and the after market parts did not fir, but it is faster to make them fit than to fabricate new ones.

    I live in Hamden, CT.

The parts came from FPS in Washington State. Kenji is a great guy and very efficient. He is probably the best guy in the US for the 2CV.

Good luck with your AK; keep me posted.

    Take care,

    Phil.

  • I thought there was no 2CV en states at all. That one you have there is a pretty old one, that one has a 6volt system isn’t it?. Well, I live in Santiago, which is relatively close from Mendoza, Argentina. They used to have 2CV factories so they still have bunch of parts for replacement. I’m asking for a quote to have an idea of how much money I’ll have to have to this proyect.

If I can make it, I’ll let you know. Did you make any video with the 2CV finally restored?

    Take care

  • Thanks a lot!

    I do appreciate it.

    Phil.
