@ruy8484 You can compare A340-300 and Il-96 in range,passenger amount,takeoff run at MTOW and also MTOW... And Il-96 is said to cost 40-50 million US dollars per unit while the A340 as of december 2011 cost about 230-240 million US dollars per unit...

@ruy8484 Cuba have very good relations with Russia and before with the Soviet Union. Il-96 are also a lot cheaper than there western counterparts (about 20% of the price of a B777-200!)
