The Retail Store: S01E03 Here we learn the store policies regarding the proper handling of returns and exchanges. In this course we also demonstrate how to handle upset customers, and also learn a little about the ANUS.
My hard drive and motherboard are malfunctioning. "That's hardware, we don't cover hardware in the warranty." ...Fine, but I had an HP certified technician look at it and he says I don't have a virus, the OS you installed was used on many different computers and that is why it deleted Office 2003 and will not run as a legal OS. "We don't cover software in the warranty." But YOU screwed up. "We don't cover mistakes in the warranty." Umm... WHAT?!
lol. Kay. Anyone buying this? Cause Best Buy is screwing me over big time! They have 'repaired' my laptop 5 times. I took it it an HP certified pro and he said the motherboard and hard drive were faulty. Best Buy, however, said there was nothing wrong with the computer even though they couldn't get it to turn on.
And a few weeks ago I brought it back again because it still doesn't turn on, and was told there now is a virus. How does a powerless computer get a virus? It doesn't! That's crap!
I am sorry for you... you seem like an honest person, what the hell are you doing at Best Buy? I was still IN THE STORE with a purchase when I got called "Someone else brought Princess Bride, get Shrek instead." Unopened, barely 40 seconds after purchased, not even out of the building and I'm told it cannot be returned/exchanged, etc...
My experience was with unopened DVDs that I was only trying to exchange (and pay the difference) to get the Blu-Ray version as I had received a Blu-Ray player for Christmas. It wasn't just the no it was the way they handled the whole thing. They have a very strict corporate mandate on returns and they find a lot of ways to reject them. Just do a web search on it. Best Buy is worse than most.
i enjoyed your retail 101 videos. I make the Retail movies, if you haven't seen them, please check out my channel. btw, I subscribed to you too.

return the items saying they are defective for the same item ...then take unopened item to store for return or exchange depending on store.
