  • Man, those objects in the background had to be a bitch to code. You didn't do that yourself did you? Like is that implemented with KOS, or are those your own calculations? (Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I don't know much about the DC libs)

  • @AspireToDoItAll I did them myself. KOS gives me a mechanism through which I can submit screen coordinates of each vertex of the quads to the PVR, but the trigonometry to orient and/or transform the vertices was me. It's just a simple 3x3 matrix transformation, really.

  • @GyroVorbis Oh, gotcha! That's still really cool, especially sense you were only 16, I'm going to be 16 soon and the most complex game I've ever made was an un-finished scroller (Shump-ish thing). Also, one more question if you don't mind, were those each different classes, or were they a vector of classes, or something else? Thanks, you guys are truly an inspiration to Game Developers all over!

  • @AspireToDoItAll: They were a dynamic array or some kind of an "Entity" struct (this was C, not C++, haha). It pretty much had boolean values for whether or not to rotate, bounce, etc. along with floating point values for velocity, gravity, rotational velocity, etc.

  • how did you setup the /pc directory to mount to your pc ???

  • I'm assuming you're using KOS. It's part of the filesystem. /pc is your cygwin root directory.

  • how do you take a program you wrote and put on a video game console like the dreamcast or xbox 360?

  • @tehepicasian Hm... I dunno where it is, this might have been before I went to linux, if I find it I'll send it your way ;)

  • @eatcomics Dude! I'd love to play it!=D

  • @eatcomics HA HA totally just found it

  • Oh jesus that game was hardcore. I remember I found it on the forums, or arce gave it to me. Jesus I wasted a lot of time playing that space shooter... it was really bad ass... I may still have it somewhere

  • You guys are geniuses

  • @GyroVorbis  Oh, haha I missed that :P Thanks!
