The Big Blue Test reinforces the importance of exercise in managing diabetes. People with diabetes are encouraged to do The Big Blue Test by testing their blood sugar, getting active, testing again, and sharing the results online at http://BigBlueTest.org.

In 2011, in connection with the number of people that did The Big Blue Test, a donation from Roche Diabetes Care benefited more than 8,000 people with diabetes in need. Five nonprofit organizations focused on helping underserved areas with a high incidence of diabetes in the United States each received $10,000, while $25,000 went to support the work in Latin America by the International Diabetes Federation's Life for a Child Programme for a total of $75,000 in Big Blue Test grants.

Absolutely. However, the more tests you do, the better. Not only for your blood sugars (if you have diabetes) but also b/c it will bring us closer to our goal of 8000 entries, so that we can secure the entire $75,000 donation from Roche to support all six NGOs that work with people with diabetes in need.

Not only is this a great message, it is incredibly well produced. This should be run at least once a night during primetime on network television. Certainly there is room in all the car, beer, toothpaste, etc. commercials to show something of quality and importance like this. Come on, network and cable TV stations. Give a little back and help out the duiabetes community. Broadcast this!
