  • @Newton1692 Athleticism, not Endurance. Endurance is just a part of it. The ability to lift your own bodyweight and fully support yourself from the core is an asset. In the real world, bodybuilding- being heavy and slow, just doesn't cut it. It's called survival of the fittest for a reason.

  • @hellothereimasian well, ring dips is different from regular dips because you use your own muscles to stabilize yourself. a regular dip is stable, the only action you need to do is pushing yourself up. the same can be said when you push yourself up during a muscle up for both rings and bars.

  • @gangstakurv Your life expectancy is mostly based on genetics, weight (20% bodyfat is just as "healthy" as 8% bodyfat, perhaps even more), habits (smoking/drinking etc), diet and the amount of stress you endured during your life. Diet correlates alot with weight, but there has been no empirical evidence that someone who eats healthy 100% of the time will outlive the "normal" (not fat) person. I work out alot and have 9.5% bodyfat, but that's because I want to look and feel fit - that's it.

  • @gangstakurv living healthy is completely different from being fast and agile. Sure, the two can go along but are not neccesarily mutually inclusive. You can live a perfectly healthy life without running, weightlifting or doing gymnastics. As long as you don't smoke, drink excessively and are not eating too much shit (which gets you overweight) - your chances of getting a high age are just as high as for someone who works out alot. Also, metabolism is hardly affected by exercise at all.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd ok now you're just wrong... survival is more prone to the healthy, you live much longer if you're fit and have a healthy lifestyle due to higher metabolism which increases immunity and reduces chances of illness and CHD and others... even if you don't need to use your fitness gain the attributes like listed above increase quality of life for much longer...

  • @gangstakurv being fast and agile doens't help much either. Seeing 99,9% of us live in an urban environment or whatever, physical performance is more of a hobby.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd sorry i mis read your statement anyways, i agree with you, being heavy and slow doesn't help much.

  • @gangstakurv about what environment are we talking about anyways. Unless you live in some sort of jungle you don't need any physical shape to "survive".

  • @srtliam fitness is just being able to meet the demands of your environment... it the environment was more suited for a 'strongman' they would be the survivors...

  • Excellent!

  • 3:04 dude that hurts hahaha

  • my friend you are an inspiration id rather take functional strength and athleticism over big bulky uselessness anyway. One quesion, have you ever done any weight training? or just pure bodyweight excercises, many say weights are essential to gain mass and strength but i like to believe all you need is your body weight and the right techniques, please respond
