  • hahahaha 0:52 "you can edit that"

    Nope

  • These are great suggestions. One suggestion I would make is that the pop filter should be mounted on a separate stand. As it is in the video, if the singer bumps the filter, the vibration can transfer to the mic. With the filter on a different stand than the mic, it is then isolated from the mic...even if bumped. Thanks and take care...

  • @demofactory great.also i prefer when there is pop in vocals first to position the mic a little higher or a little off axis or both and only if there is still pop to use a pop filter.i try to avoid pop filter , to my ears it sounds worse than to move slightly the mic.

  • @gamergeek3000 The purpose of that is so they can hear the music in their ear, and their actual voice in the room, rather than hearing everything through the headphones. Some people just prefer to hear their voice that way

  • I see singers wearing the headsets on one ear only, is this necessary?

  • what kind of mic should I use?do I need to improve my sound card?!plz answer.

  • @demofactory

When singer bumps a filter you need re-take if you have pop filter on the separate stand or not, since you'll record the "bump" even if the filter is standing separately.

  • @demofactory shock mounts prevent vibrations from stands

  • you could do that. but just get a sheet of bed foam and place it on the walls on floor and it will kill everything.

  • I have a question for anyone willing to answer. I am doing recording in my own home, and made a small makeshift studio. I work out of my desktop and it is in my living room. I have wood floors and wood paneling on the walls. My desk is set up in the corner like an L but with a slant, like \ in it. Would it help to maybe drape a blanket, or towels or something behind and on the floor? To absorb sound for better acoustics?

  • @ShawnChalanT ohhhhh okay thanks :D i just never knew what it was for :P
