Apologies acknowledge that a wrong was committed....it helps people heal....often we don't get apologies in our personal lives (from those who have hurt us) and it would help...many people feel anger and resentment because a person did not acknowledge their bad behaviour (especially parents to kids). Mostly people make excuses or minimize, deny or blame the injured party as being too sensitive.

Public apologies can be healing...atleast it is an acknowledgment that something was wrong......
An apology is a validation....even if the person isn't as sorry as they should be..it is an acknowledgment....one we rarely get in the work place or in our families (people should apologize more).

I think political correctness is a good thing...shouldn't we be careful with our words...words can hurt people....people should not use words like 'nigger', or
'faggot" to put others down....
Words are powerful; political correctness makes people accountable for what they say........an apologizing means acknowledging that what was said was wrong....this helps people heal.....how many people apologize in one's private world...most either deny or justify or make excuses.

I agree that political correctness is killing us, and I think that if people put more into who they are instead of what they are things wouldn't be so fucked up. But it's easier to focus on someone else's baggage than look at your own. Plus people have really gotten lazy and dumbing down has become the norm.

Blah blah blah, why are these people even apologizing to begin with, this has become a country of over sensitive cry babies that have to heal and be told I'm sorry. What a sad Country this has turned into. Political correctness is killing us.
