Project Bandaloop honors nature, community, and the human spirit through dance. The company, under the artistic direction of Amelia Rudolph, creates a blend of dance, sport, ritual, and environmental awareness. The work explores the relationship between movement and gravity and stimulates viewers' awareness of their natural and built environments. Since 1991, the company has enjoyed performing for close to half a million people.
I saw this on TV ages ago, and have been looking for it ever since. I didn't know what it was called, so I didn't know to search on "Bandaloop." I knew that if I stuck in "vertical dancing" or "cliff dancing" or "wall dancing" or "rappel dancing" from time to time, eventually I'd find it.
And so I did. This is a precursor to low-gravity dance. I truly believe that. It isn't exactly the same, but it does give an idea.
