@Kari166 It's human nature to argue about who is right. And I find it completely normal to comment about WW2 in a movie about WW2.

Will everyone STOP fighting about the U.S. vs. Japan in WWII? It's easy for all of us to sit here and judge because we weren't alive during the actual events that this movie took place. If we were, and didn't know anything about Pearl Harbor or the A-Bomb beforehand, I can guarantee we'd all be singing a different song.
Let's not forget that Japan is not a completely innocent country when it comes to their own history during WWII.

@WOLFE221 Attacking the Pacific Fleet anchored at Pearl harbor was not an act of aggression, but a strategic countermeasure to keep America from interfering with what they thought was necessary to survive as a nation. Blaming the Japanese for attacking Pearl Harbor is like a bully getting mad at a kid he picks on for fighting back...then firebombing his house and killing the kids family because he ended up with a black eye.

@bigman1171 America was the aggressor. To stop them from forming the "asian prosperity sphere", America cut off oil to Japan and siezed all Japanese assets in U.S. banks. This severly hurt Japan economically and left them with a 2 year supply of oil. Japan decided to seize Indonesia to gain their oil reserves (sumatra and borneo). Japan needed to also secure the Phillipines to protect their shipping routes to the southeast pacific.

@bigman1171 ...like America is any better. how would you like it, when your city gets destroyed by a nuclear bomb and you are suffering years later from the nuclear radiation.

i don't feel bad for the japanese. they still to this day do not apologize for starting the war, they're a bunch of assholes who blame the united states for everything. may the japanese killed or affected by the atomic bomb burn in hell along with hitler and stalin. i prayed for the families killed by the japanese.
-
@dmzko lol no, we were not interested in taking over the world.
-
i know that japan was the ones that were trying to take over the world and killing millions of people, torturing them, and so on, but i do feel bad for them, especially for those that were harmed in japan because of their greedy rulers, this movie is amazing...

I think it's important to keep in mind, this type of story is being played out in real life every day. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Africa etc. Right now, this very second many people are in a similar situation as the characters in this movie. As long as we feel the need to harm each other over differences of race, religion, money, oil etc etc...it will continue. Hopefully one day we learn it's just not worth it.
