The hate crimes bill extends federal protection to gay and transgendered victims of violent crime. It will authorize federal prosecution of people who do violence to them. It specifically excludes ANY unconstitutional restraint of speech and has absolutely no bearing on Sweden where the idiot bigot preacher was jailed. Of course xians persecute. Perhaps you should look up the word. Saying that xians aren't persecuting gays, but gays are persecuting xians, shows a blatant double standard on your part, or perhaps you're in denial?

What xianity says about anything is only relevant to xians... not to gays, and not to the law. Do you honestly think gays are up in arms over nothing? Gays are angry at the anti-gay laws xians are supporting. That's where the anti-xian sentiment is coming from. Sow and reap.
