We found a very big patch of salmonberries. We were all alone the whole day - except for the bugs. The berries were big and ripe -yum!

  • Thank-you. Yes, you are correct - they are cloudberries. They are called salmonberries and Aqpiqs in western Alaska. :)

  • this was in bristol bay area around Dillingham in mid August - it was a great year for the berries. The berries are mildly sweet with many seeds - but they are addictive :)

    This is actually called cloudberries. They grow mostly in Norway, Sweden, Finland i guess. And northern part of America.
