Are salmonberries and cloudberries the same thing ??? I've never seen salmonberries so close to the ground before.

This is actually called cloudberries. They grow mostly in Norway, Sweden, Finland i guess. And northern part of America.

Thank-you. Yes, you are correct - they are cloudberries. They are called salmonberries and Aqpiqs in western Alaska. :)

this was in bristol bay area around Dillingham in mid August - it was a great year for the berries. The berries are mildly sweet with many seeds - but they are addictive :)
