  • @SeattleSunshineLady Was Smith perfect? No. Is the Church perfect? No. Is it the only one with truth? No. But it is the only one authorized by the Lord, and thus, by implication, is the only true Church on earth, even though not perfect. Those imperfections make it easy for other Christians to denigrate Mormons, but in many cases, this is because they are led astray by evil leaders who keep promoting anti-Mormon thinking decade after decade.

  • @SeattleSunshineLady Smith was also attracted to it because the symbols were similar to what Abraham had given to the Egyptians, and were the basis for many temple ritual signals. In fact, Masonic history confirms that the symbols were taken from Egyptian tombs, so Mormon's temple symbols didn't copy masonry; Satan copied the true symbols from ancient temple rituals known to Abraham.

  • @SeattleSunshineLady In the days that Smith joined the Masons, it was not widely known that this organization had conspiratorial origins at the highest levels. Most of the constitutional founders were also Masons because of its promise of the brotherhood of protection- not because they were conspirators in a Satan cult to destroy liberty as some have claimed. They were simply fooled by the promises of a great brotherhood.

  • Joseph Smith the founder of the Mormon Church was also a Master Mason with the Freemasons. Now that's a 'secret combination"

  • @mormoncoffee It's open to whomever wants to participate in them, just meet the requirements

  • The Book of Mormon rejects secret societies, Ironic that Mormon temple goers are a secret organization.

  • Saw this posted at ldsfreedomforum a while back. Great discussions.

  • The United States is going down. And anyone who believes otherwise is in for a rude awakening. The very best we can do is be prepared.
