@twooffour I'm not saying that's what I think. I think he was tremendous in Reloaded. His speech on purpose is really insightful. Still, everything is the best in the first one except the scale of things. The last two also have some interpretive elements that I really like, such as the architect scene.

I didn't find him boring in Reloaded.
There, he was still the sleazy bastard from 1, 3 made him into more of an over-the-top villain - which was awesome, but also seemed kind of empty.
In 1, he's still the best - menacing, deadly, poisonous.

How's the initial song called?

I see the final two Matrix films as the continual concept of a Yin Yang.
You say Smith was boring in Reloaded, and more exciting in Revolutions.
Reloaded was much more philosophical, and Revolutions was much more of an Action movie. The balance of the first film is now split into the other two. I think that there very much could be something more going on. I just don't see something as good as The Matrix losing all credibility later, it's not like Wachowskis waited 20 years (Lucas).

How did you interpret the ending of Revolutions? I was under the impression that Neo had died, yet the Oracle expresses her belief that Sati and she, will meet him again. Do you think she meant that literally, or do you believe she meant the One would be once again reincarnated later on and that Neo's version, for lack of a better word, really was gone? I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
Good review. I liked your explanation of Smith.
