I've also heard beeswax can be used on the tendon and can tighten up or lubricate a loose or tight bit.

@Dustwheel Good tip Mike.

For a loose fit
1) Gently heat up the tenon of the bit that fits into the shank
2) Find a drill bit that's shank end fits "snugly" into the tenon, and gently insert into the hole of the tenon.
3) Remove fairly quickly, and allow to cool.
Should fit more snug!
Thanks
Mike

@SHOOPDAWHOOP0987 anything airtight would work, zip lock bags, or one of those glass or ceramic containers with the rubber seal around the mouth. the idea is to keep the moisture in.

@stabnshoot Yes, that does work. Most folks who use that technique use ChapStick.

@taerinx That's an interesting idea. Ya know what they say... "You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead". At least I think that's what they say.

scott, hi! I came across your videos today looking for a good begineer not so much cash pipe. So, you convinced me and I purchased 2 pipes from you. the general and the gentelman. I hope I made the wright choice.

@paulwilliamsd Glad to hear it. Those are a couple of my favorites. I've been keeping track of how any smokes I can get out of a Gentleman pipe, and I'm just about to pass 100 and it's no worse for it. Check-out my tips by visiting my Youtube Channel. Scott

I used masking tape, messing around with glue and paper wasn`t working out for me

@SCBCWTB Sounds like a good alternative. For what is masking tape but paper and glue. Well done.
