Impossible to play song made it possible

Late August 2011 when I found this vid and it takes me back to Wednesday nights at The Purity or Boars Head in Oxford, '70-'72... One night between sets I asked Bill to play a tune he hadn't played for a couple or few weeks, "Peaceful World"...and he thought for a moment, shook his head and said he couldn't quite remember it. But he smiled that sheepish grin and it's so cool to see some things don't change!!! Your buddy for eternity, Mitch (and HEY to Steve Walmsley too!)

@champsinger IF the meaning of your original comment was in the positive realm, then I do apologize for the name calling. Cheers!

@champsinger Yes, fool, I see. Aging allows Bartlett to be around to enjoy the fact that his song is now an epic worldwide Rock anthem. It allows him the chance to answer the call of many fans recently to perform this great tune after many years of boogie piano and other activities. It allows for the fact that he didn't become a fucking overdose statistic. Let's see you do what you did 35 years ago (if anything) with the same sharpness. Idiot.

see what ageing does?

old man better
It's great to see Bartlet playing this after all these years. I used to go see him in Starstruck back in Oxford, Ohio, and on a good night he was a good a guitar player as anyone - bar none.

I was there..."The Boars Head" in 1973 when Starstruck used to play this song every show along with many others. I remember a lot of Allman Bros cover tunes also, a great band. Bartlett stood out, with masterful licks on his sunburst Les Paul, and lead vocals. Thanks Bill...you were truly an inspiration to this 17 year old farm boy. Check out my own videos at BBT Big Boy and the Toys on YouTube.
