This is the complete composition for the escene, I think they cut it because it sounds "too cute". For me sounds great, and for many years thougt the recording was a concert version, but no it fits perfect with the scene. Jonh williams at his best. Enjoy it

Great discovery! Y'know, I never put two and two together...like you, I always thought it was just a concert arrangement or something. But it's now so plainly obvious that the cue was written to accompany the whole scene. I think they made the right choice in cutting most of it, as it does totally eliminate any sort of tension, but it's still delightful music in and of itself.
