This video shows the first two prints from the Quantum Delta 3D Printer. This was build by the PS1 CNC Club solely as a fun group project build.

The printer prints in an inverted fashion with the build platform moving and the extruder stationary. This has the advantage of being very simple, but probably does not scale well to really large parts.

There is a blog post here with links to the design source files. It is made from only laser cut or routed acrylic parts and 3D printed ABS/PLA parts.
