Jordyn Horwitz and Apollo. That is one name I will definatly miss the annoucer saying. I can't believe it's been almost two months since the day I sold Apollo.

Apollo, you are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me, you taught me not only riding, but so much more about myself. From our first show where you didn't fail to catch me even when I caught you in the month, and dug you into shitty distances, you where always there. To winning our first show later that winter. Our first dressage score in the 20s and most amazing XC round ever. You are my inspiration, everyday I look at you and I'm encouraged to do better, to work harder, to be a stronger athlete and person. What we have become is nothing like I've ever imagined, your my best friend. Some people that aren't into horses just say, "Why the hell is a pony your best friend?" Well... here's my answer. This pony is loyal, always in the mood to lend a helping hoof, or just make my day better. This pony makes me smile in 5 seconds. This pony made everyone a winner. This pony could compete against, 80,000$ horses, and win, and then return home and dress as a rainbow in a costume class. This pony, didn't mind that 95% of people who even looked at him underestimated him, that didn't seem to matter. This pony tried his best, and was always the leader of the pack. This pony, stood there when I fell off, and waited for me to remount. This pony, sat in a hot, uncomfortable trailer for 6 days, to get to GA for the AECs. This pony will pretty much sit there and let you ride him in a halter and a blanket. This pony, let me take the credit, for everything he does. This pony, this little guy, this awesome dude, this beloved partner, is my best friend.

My life is disfuntional without you. Moving on, or forgeting is OUT of the question. But because of you, I have the stregth to carry on everything you taught me and suceed as a rider. Sometimes I sit there and watch you with your new little girl, I can see your frustrated looks "Why the heck is she pulling on my face?" But your to amazing to let it get in the way of her learn on you. Thats why your perfect. Every long spot, every chip, every pull in the mouth, every miscomunication, you fixed it. You are truly a saint.

What made our time together so special is the fact that, I was 8 years old, you where eight years old, i couldn't ride to save my life, let alone, put you in a frame, or jump you. For 7 long months we trotted around the dressage ring learning to understand and tolerate eachother. I still remeber the first time we really jumped, I was so happy I did it, without you taking off, or me almost falling off. I remember my first fall off of you, over a cavelettie, and I landed on my feet, and you just stood there confused, but kindly. I remember everything, bad and amazing. From mixing your first bucket of grain, to learning how to braid for shows.

But heres the thing, I'm one lucky ass girl. I NEVER had a horse with attitude. In fact I had the most willing and honest horse in the barn. I NEVER had a "dangerous" horse. In fact, I had one of THE MOST trust worthly horses in the barn. I never had a horse that was sour to the leg or rude about the "wrong aids". in fact, i had the most easy horse in the barn. I had you, Apollo. Your fantasitic, gorgeous, awesome, athletic, a winner, sweet, kind, great mover, tolerant, perfect in ever way.

Apollo didn't care if i looked like shit. He didn't care if I was "popular" He didn't care if i was "rich" he didn't care if i was "the best rider" he didn't care if i was the "tuffest kid" he didn't care if we got second place. He cared that I loved him, and i did, more than anything. That was all that counted between us.

Where this is going is, I love you Apollo. More than anything in the world. You ARE the best thing that's EVER happened to me. You made me who i am today. for better or for worse, your were my partner, my friend, and you knew me better than i knew myself. you aren't just a pony, your an athlete, a hero, a champion, and a buddy. There will always be a huge place in my heart for you. you may be little, my to me, your the biggest thing in the world. thank you, for e v e r y t h i n g . ♥

you and apollo accomplished sooo much it's amazing. He seems like such a sweet guy <3 I hope you can find the perfect horse soon, because although another horse will NEVER replace Apollo I can't wait to see how amazing you do on an upper level horse. You're gonna kick my butt once you get a horse! <3

jordy this is so amazing. wow you two have accomplished so much it's unbelievable. never forget that, or any of the times you had with him, but don't let it keep you away from finding your next horse and moving forward. use it as motivation (= you two were amazing and no one will forget that, now you will be amazing with your next horse just like he will with veronica
