ACT Greens - Election Commitments to Light Rail - 20080930

Amanda Bresnan the ACT Greens candidate for Brindabella outlines the ACT Greens commitment to Light Rail in the ACT should the Greens be elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly.

Four Greens candidates (Meridith Hunter, Shane Rattenbury, Amanda Bresnan and Caroline Le Couteur) were declared elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly from the 18 October 2008 Election. In an accord document with the ACT Labor Party they decided to support a minority government formed by the ALP. Whilst the accord document outlined many non negotiable issues (including Transport, Planning and Climate Change) it failed to cover the topic of Light Rail.
