It helps to remember that there are people who have nothing to do with terror and extremism in the countries the United States labels evil. This cafe is in Dayr Azzawr, a small city near the border with Iraq. As an American, I felt nothing but warmth and friendship from the Syrian people I met while traveling there for 3 weeks in 2000.

  • The person uploaded this video can not rid him/her self from deep seated prejudice and racism towards Middle East. WHY would you call it "Not so evil" if you are true and secure with yourself? Syrians are probably the most civilized and kind people you might encounter, their love for life, food, beautiful women, history, art and hospitality is just too real than what we have in the West.

  • @Kurdishdiplomat This title is a joking reference to George W Bush referring to Syria together with Iraq and North Korea as an "Axis of Evil". I am trying to show how not evil this typical Syrian cafe scene is.

  • Even if it's a "poor" cafe, it's not so bad. Guys playing cards instead of being glued to computers and text messagers. What's wrong with that? And it's noisy! They're interacting! Not like some of our cafes where people are barely talking and it's quiet like a library. At least there's some LIFE there.

  • iim not syrian ,but i love that country, they are special people <3

  • And you don't see any women in here because there nothing for women to do in these kinda cafes. Men come here to see their friends, have a cup of coffee, have an Argileh, talk and go back home. And once again, this is a cafe in a poor area in Syrian, probably on the outskirts, but in cafes that are in a city, you probably see women more than men! Women also go shopping in malls!

  • @1ahmadrockets1 I totally agree, the person who uploaded this video thinks they know about Syria and it's people and places more than Syrians do!

  • Omg i swear this video is a joke! This is a cafe in some poor area in Syria not in a city like Damascus or Homs or Latakia. There are hundreds of modern cafe's in Syria with modern furniture & everything, just like a typical cafe anywhere else in the world. Have you seen Rotana Cafe in Damascus? Al-Malaab Street in Homs where there are over 10 Cafe's all just on the same side of the same street? And yes, women do show a lot of skin in Syria, it's not like Saudi Arabia at all! Get ur facts right!

  • if i got my argeele with nice sweet melon flavor i dont really care if the place is cheap lookin..Just Enjoy your hookah

  • المقطع حلو

بس الي يخوف اصحاب التعليقات الي يعرضوااجساد بناتهم !!!

  • @1ahmadrockets1 Yeah,but it's not so widely used.Only in Oriental cafes.
