If there was one chase that exemplified the success of this trip for me, it was this chase. We start at the red covered bridge just outside of West Cornwall just as we hear the classic Leslie Tyfon A-200 horn from the 9935. The reason he gave two to go was because the train had stopped at West Cornwall Station for a still photo stop. We start once we hear the horn, and crawl up to the grade crossing just north of the station. Once the engines clear the crossing, we turn left onto River Road, where we continue to chase them for a little more than three miles. At the 7:15 mark in the video, a Masshole goob cuts us off and goes slower than a nearsighted grandmother. God, if only we had a shotgun. I would have blown that fucker off the road. Thankfully, we didn't have to trail him the whole way. Unfortunately, by the time we caught up to the train at the 9:00 mark, his tail end is about to round the curve, which is where the train goes out of sight for about a mile. Regardless of the set back at the end, I still think this was the one chase video out of all of them that was best. Enjoy the choreography of the video, the scenery from the covered bridge to the forest, as well as the sound of the EMD 567's revving in unison, and the Leslie Tyfon A-200 horn from the 9935. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on May 16th, 2009.
