  • @NorthrnAngel Sounds awesome!

  • I have made the tofu scramble for years...however I do the veggies first in a small amount of olive oil, then add tofu that has been rinsed and dry and cut with a pastry cutter to appear more like scrambled egg..as well as the onion powder and nutritional yeast I add about 1/2 tsp of tumeric to give it the colour of real scrambled egg..I add about 1/4 tsp sea salt and pepper as well..It tastes awesome and my family who are not vegan also enjoy...I will try the recipe by everydaydish anyway

  • @betsyny1 yes I know what it means, tom cruise is in their cult :S

  • Nice presentation, thank you. I have been putting curry powder in my tofu scramble instead of the nutritional yeast so I think I'll switch now. Didn't think of the granulated onion either, so now it's off to the food coop to get a small amount to try.

  • @LuceoLeo Define "sentient" Go ahead, look it up and get back to us

  • @LuceoLeo Do you actually know what the word "sentient" means?

  • @carriemaizey The yeast comes in flakes. There's no other way to get it. It tastes cheesy so that's why it's so good. The granulated onion is well, not a highly processed food, so I don't understand the complaint. btw yeast flakes have B12, which is lacking in vegan diets, so it's a good thing from both a flavor and a nutritional standpoint.

  • "if your watching your weight you might not want to add that splash of olive oil"

...excuse me but wtf? thats extreme. I have to say this meal looks bland as hell

  • @CoDfan2011mw2 I'll ask one last time: what data are you referencing, and what nutrient do you mistakenly believe is only found in meat?

  • @CoDfan2011mw2 han nonvegetarians. Furthermore, vegetarians tend to have a lower body mass index and lower overall cancer rates. Features of a vegetarian diet that may reduce risk of chronic disease include lower intakes of saturated fat and cholesterol and higher intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, soy products, fiber, and phytochemicals."
