The Swedish West Coast Microwave Group celebrated the 40 years since the first men landed on the moon by bouncing their microwave signals off the moon surface. By kind permission of the Onsala Space Observatory we could use their 25,6m VLBI telescope during the weekend of July 18/19 2009 and we contacted some 50 different stations worldwide. We simply used the moon as a reflector for our signals. Check www.chalmers.se/oso and www.sk6yh.org for more information.
