This is my game footage of Flipper Slipper and Spectron for the ColecoVision game system by SpectraVideo also know as SpectraVision. These two games are very frustrating, specially at the highest difficulty level.
These games was published in 1983 and are not common.
Footage recorded with BlueMSX 2.8.2
Holy shit, I forgot all about Spectron! Man I loved that game when I was a kid.

Spectron! My first game ever! :D
I still remember I reached once to the point where I had all the spaces below my spaceship mined (or whatever it is what invaders leave when they reach the bottom of map - there is one left in the video already) and it started to blink with colours and some different sound played. I unfortunatelly was killed shortly by it happend, and never saw what would happen then.
Thank you for uploading this video!

Both Flipper Slipper and Spectron are great games for the Colecovision. I owned both but then my Colecovision died and me and my friends stupidly wanted to "repair" the Console and the games (which were not broken at all!). Needless to say that after our "repair" also the games were broken... I bought a Colecovision from eBay, but Flipper Slipper and Spectron are pretty hard to come by especially in the PAL-Version and when you find them, they are pretty expensive. Stupid me!

Flipper Slipper was a great game, an excellent Arkanoid clone. I especially liked the background beach noises. The higher levels can be quite difficult and frustrating.
Spectron looks like a good Space Invaders clone with a nice background. I have never played it.
Thanks for posting these :)

Wow, that is a fast game. Quite nice 'Ocean' sound effects and decent animation.
Love the physics of the little ball!
Now the shmup game looks great. I would have bought it for sure back in the day! But it wasn't on Dutch shelving back then :(
