Greatest American rock band ever. It makes me sad that they have never gotten the accolades they genuinely deserve in their day and almost ubknown by a generation inspired by musician inspired by X. The Clash were voted the "Band of the Decade" by Rolling Stone magazine in 1990. What a joke. The Clash were culture vulture posers. A fad. X is truth. Exene is a goddess. Billy Zoom is a god and John Doe is cooler than you could ever hope to be. Long Live X!

X were the Beatles of L.A. punk rock -- the best of the movement and the band that that bands went to see. Billy Zoom was/is an astonishingly technically proficient guitarist -- unlike many of the musicians of the time.

The clash mattered a little bit more... But still this band is Amazing and captures socal punk rock appeal perfectly. I bet the younger bands coming from orange county probably worshipped these guys at the time.
