albert hammond is a big BIG part of the strokes. i find myself listening to yours to keep a whole lot more than the strokes.

yer, he doesn't write the melodies either. casablancas wirtes the songs on piano and then the strokes arrange em, so it's hammonds guitar playing that helps to give the strokes their signiture sound, not his writing ability. and if writing didn't include lyrics, then each song wouldn't be a song, it would be an instrumental. so ur view of writing makes no sense, and is a bit shit. no offence, but it's like ur deliberatley misunderstanding what a song is

Woahhhh.
I'm overwhelmed with talent.
Man...I love, love, frickin love Julian but.... maybe he and Albert should switch parts on one little song on the album?
We'll see just how good Julian is at the guitar. ;D

I never knew Albert had such an incredible voice...
I love how he keeps his guitar so close up. . ;D
