@prestonriley The white arc is the full flaps operating range.
-
You should review what the white arc represents.
-
This is why the internet and YouTube is good. Very cool. Thanks for posting the video!
-
@prestonriley , the top of the white arc would indicate the limit for full flaps (Vfe, fully extended)
-
You can kick in 10 degrees of flaps outside the white arc on the newer 172's too.

I don't fly the G1000, or know the V-speeds of the 182 but it looks like you lowered 10 degrees of flaps outside the white arc. (a no no) It would be a good idea to wait until you are inside the white arc to lower flaps.
Thanks for the video

Actually, on my and most other 182's, you can lower the flaps:
10 degrees 140 kts or below
20 degrees 120 kts or below
30 degrees 100 kts or below
This is depicted on the G-1000 and the backup steam gauge which shows the flap arcs for all three increments. Also it is depicted on the flap lever. Check it out next time you fly a 182.
If you waited till 100 kts too deploy my flaps in a 182, you would overshoot most everytime IMO. I put 10 in at 120 which is pretty standard.

@prestonriley Actually, the end of the white arc is for MAX full flaps speed, so you can put 10 degrees around 130m or just look at your POH, it should tell you the max operating speed for each of the flaps.

@tinyman12323 to keep it simple, just think of the WHITE ARC as FLAP OP RANGE. LOW END = VS0 or min land config speed and HIGH END = VFE or max flap extended speed. If you are in a typical SEL plane, in may be easier to observe the Flap Placard which shows OP Speeds.

Where did you get your Cessna 182 G-1000? Do you get to choose your call sign? Also could you paint your aircraft if you wanted to change the color?

I bought it from Vista Aviation at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima, CA.
You could change your "Tail Number" .....for a price.....like getting a personal license plate I think. Yes, you can paint your plane, but there are a few standards you have to keep to.
