World's Fattest Hamster 2

Due to overwhelming public outrage, I believe you need to know the story of Orion. This video was taken near the end of his life. He lived to be about 2 years, 6 months old (give or take a week or two) - which is longer than average hamster lifespan. Orion was provided with a large (30 gallon aquarium) to live in, and had an exercise wheel that he rarely/never used.

He had a ball to run around the kitchen in, which he would just fall asleep within a couple minutes. He just didn't exercise! The average hamster weighs around 5-6oz, Orion weighed over 10oz. I made sure he was comfortable, and he was provided fresh food and water his entire life.

Whether it be a tumor (which I doubt, because he was symmetrically large - a tumor would make him oddly shaped) or not, I'm not certain.

Now you know, and to you individuals that left nasty comments, you are all a bunch of jerks. Orion never bit me, or anyone else that held him. He was a good pet!
