Have you read the MAX series? Ray Stevenson just looks like the Punisher. His voice is hell of alot deeper than Thomas Jane's. They decided to stick to the comic rather than have retarded villains like John Travolta they have Jigsaw.

Personally, I think that the perfect "Punisher" movie should be a high body count sequel to the long-coat wearing Thomas Jane Punisher (sorry Ray, but the english accent wont do) written by Garth Ennis (the hands-down BEST Punisher writer) and directed by Michael Bay (say what you will, the man knows his special effects and camera editing) with Bob Sapp as Barracuda.

However, this version of a Punisher who enjoys warfare also shows much potential (that is what you were going for, right?).

show me a better portrayal of the punisher than this and i'll show you rocking horse shit or part the red sea for you! this is faultless and achieves more in 2 mins than hollywood has in 3 feature films. this man needs to make this into a movie. he'd have massive fan support. even the voice is perfect you get a proper sense of how truly determined and ill the punisher is. fantastic i simply cant say enough good thing about it. i've forced people to watch it and they've loved it.

The punisher 2 that Thomas Jane was signed on for got canceled. Warzone is not a sequal but a shitty re-boot. And because it did so horribly marvel made the decision that no more R rated movies would be made with their characters, which means if we ever get another punisher its going to be a pg-13 shitfest.
