your not storing your music on their servers; Apple already has all your purchased music from iTunes on their servers. What is happening with iCloud is Apple is keeping a list of all your music and apps that you purchased. When you buy a song it add's it to that list (icloud) and then tells iTunes servers to send it to your other devices. The competitors however actually store YOUR music..meaning you have to upload it then redownload it to your device. Apple's way means NO uploading.
