Brings to mind when we used to sing at midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Too bad they switched out the chiors.

@jeannedarc624 Um. They never banned the music or art or anything from any organized religion. In fact, most school Choirs sing all kinds of religous songs. They just made it so we're not all forced to pray during school. Which, to a child, is not only tedious but boring as well. Prayer is for our parents to teach us. How would you like it if your child was forced to pray to allah in school? You probably wouldn't enjoy it.

@Molliepet
actually Praetorius wrote the harmonies and the original is from the Alte Catholische Geistliche Kirchengesäng (Köln, Germany: 1599)

Even more ironic that the godless lawyers Harvard produces would ban this bit of history from public school children.

Ironic such beauty came from a school that now produces such godless pagans now.

You can argue that point when sitting in Purgatory trying to pursuade St Peter to let you into eternal glory since you've shunned his Holy Church and the Incarnation of the Saviour on Earth!!!
