A narrated playing of Eye of the Beholder for Sega CD. IMO this is the best version of the AD&D game EotB ... the music and sound effects are far superior to the PC originals. Other enhancements include maps of levels (if you can find them), voice acting (which isn't so great but its fun for a laugh), and some upgraded graphics here and there. The gameplay between the different versions is largely the same. EotB supports the use of Segas mouse which is a godsend. What the Sega CD version does lack is lack of arrow keys for easier navigation; however, this is only a minor inconvenience.

  • Sorry to comment so much :P but what emulator do you use?

  • lol np.. i am using the emulator Fusion version 3.6. It used to go by the name Kega and emulates many different Sega consoles (Genesis, 32X, SegaCD, Master System, etc). Several different sites host it.. i just did a search for sega fusion.

  • Nice. I have the PC version and SNES version.

  • i have the PC version too. All of those 5.25" floppies lol. The SNES version ive played when it was released.. what i really miss with that version is the access to holy symbols without taking up space. i seem to remember that but its been awhile since ive played Capcoms version.

  • Wow, the least Yuzo could have done is remix the original tunes. The intro music is... is it even classifiable as music? It sounds like ambience. Whoever gave the role of creating music for a fantasy RPG to an electro artist should be shot.

  • The ambient techno soundtrack to this Sega CD version of the game was composed by Yuzo Koshiro, who produced famous soundtracks for many 8-bit & 16-bit games, including the Nihon Falcom classics, Streets of Rage series, 8-bit version of Sonic, ActRaiser, etc.

He composed the Sega CD version of Eye of the Beholder around the same time as Streets of Rage 3, so that would explain the somewhat similar experimental electronica sounds.

  • Ack! If you're going to make a gameplay video where you talk through it, put "Let's Play" in the title so people who don't want to hear other people blather over gameplay don't accidentally click.

  • The Super Nintendo version did have music at the character creation screen, but it was a different theme.

  • Why the portraits of this game is different from the other versions(SNES, DOS, Amiga)?

  • A great classic.

  • AD&D RRRRRRROOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXX

  • Wow nice project. I wanted always to see This Game since i am actually not into dungeon based RPGs. Could you tell me how far are you away from completing this Game?

  • I got mine on a Gamefest Forgotten Realms CD. I thought those games came on a 3 1.2 floppy disk.
