Guy Gardner/Tora Olafsdotter // All You Wanted

Green Lantern/Ice is just too cute for words. Like, ridiculously cute. Then again, so are all the pairs shown in the JLI (Boostle, Fire/Ice, Barda/Scott, Sue/Ralph).

It's hilarious that when they met, Tora thought Guy was one of the sweetest men she'd ever met. Except you know, he had a concussion that completely changed his personality....the real Guy was a rude, obnoxious jackass who got on the wrong side of everyone on the JLI.

But sweet Tora still gave him a chance and as he fell for her, we got to see another side of Guy. He was still a jerk- but he tried SO HARD to be the man she wanted him to be. And she accepted that, knowing that beyond the gruff exterior, he was a softie. Of course, they had their issues- oh my god, they both messed up so many times! And everything after Tora's death (don't worry, she got better) was heartbreaking. x3

I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT GUY/TORA. AND BEA TOO. I'VE GOTTEN SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THE ENTIRE JLI IN A FEW DAYS.

I'm so glad that everyone remembers Max again so Guy doesn't think Tora tried to kill him or whatever. They just need to get married or something, I just can't deal with their overwhelming OTP factor.

The song fit lol I considered using another song, but I wanted it from Tora's POV for some reason.

Ps. THIS LITERALLY TOOK ALL NIGHT TO RENDER. *$&%)(#. I started it at 8:30 PM and it finished at 8 AM. ALMOST TWELVE HOURS. WHY?

I got kind of carried away with the description. xD But that Monty Python quote does seem to work well with superheroes, seeing as they all die then stroll back a few months or years later. "Hey guys, what did I miss?"

Well done. The Guy/Ice relationship was one of the best things to come out of that version of the Justice League, and it developed like a classic movie romance. One of the high points for me was when Ice finally got Guy to admit that he loved her.

@Solitaire001 Thank you! I agree that it's a really well done romance and yeah, I adore that issue. The ending is arguably my favourite Guy/Tora moment.

I'm really disappointed that JLI is starting from scratch in the reboot, but in the first issue, it looked like they knew each other so hopefully, we will be seeing some sort of relationship start again with Guy and Tora.
