  • @SuperFidds Its the cameronian rant as a jig :)

  • Does anyone kindly have the name of the second tune??

  • @00MORDRED Thanks for your post! I live in MN also and have the exact same problem. First I had Kinaird drone reeds and they worked well for me, however two year ago my instructor changed them out with Cannings and have never been able to play comfortably with them. It's just a damb fight every time I pick up the pipes. I don't know whose pipes they are! he wants them in. I think as chanter reeds some are good and some a shite.

  • @ThePipinFonz The Bob Dunsire bagpipe forums works for me! :)

  • I NEED online free membership piping communities please suggest it would be much appreciated :)

Highland Bagpiper 7+ years (just started again recently, back to square one)

  • WOW!!!!!!

  • By the way, Ryan's tunes book, "The full monty", is really worth the money. You can purchase it from Ryan's website

  • Buy a bunch of chanter reeds and learn how to work on them to make 'em easier/ tune better, and then make sure your drone reeds are set to your chanter.

Jim MaGillivrey (sp?) has a couple excellent DVDs out (called Pipes Up and Pipes Ready) that help explain the mechanics and techniques of pipe and reed work.

...Or just get a world-class instructor....

...Or go to The College Of Piping, Or The Piping Centre summer schools...

    good luck...
