@RyanBrooksby I personally imagine that there was something like WW1 followed communist coup attempts (like in our timeline) and then EU was established again in order to counter Britannia and China. But it became more like an union of equals rather than French domination. I think that it would work to a certain extent. E.g. Nazis conquered basically the whole Europe. And if we weren't lucky it could win the war. And nazis had kind of similar ideology like Britannia.

@RyanBrooksby We know that the EU was established by Napoleon. That means that it consisted of all states that were conquered/allied by France. But Russia wasn't. Nor was Africa. We can guess that there could've been some scramble for Africa (like in our reality) and that Russia joined the EU later. I always imagined the EU like Europe was before the WW1.

I agree about Britannia. I think its progress-ideology helped it to develop better technology to overcome everyone.

Well Boukoku No Akito is set in Europe so we may find out why in the PV trailer Europe looks like it was hit by a nuke.

And Russia couldn't be USSR as that would generally go against Europe since the USSR is based upon invading Europe.

How-ever Britannia can kick everyone's asses. If Britain kicked China's in the Opium war, well, Britannia can demolish China.

@RyanBrooksby Yes but before it was taken by Britannia it was part of the EU. And since we know basically nothing about the EU it's possible that Russia was part of the EU as USSSR. The only thing we know about the EU is its size, how it was created, that it's ruled by something called "Hemicycle" and that's it. But I guess that since CG is japanese anime they don't care about Europe.

I think that MEF was something like the Ottoman empire and perhaps a satelite/ally of the EU
